As for 2019, the best RAAM experience of my 10 participations, everything as perfect as it can be, a bit thank you for that goes to my awesome crew: Irma Baloh, Laurel Darren, Elisabeth Hufnagl Guevara, Borut Osojnik, Roman Matoz, Shawn Urban, Martin Dressman, Georgi Stoychev, Michael Phillips, Tom Guevara and all of my sponsors who made it possible. 2nd place overall, victory 50+ with the World Record set, that is as sweet as it gets.
A victory at 50+ and 2nd place overall at Bike Sebring 12/24/Century Ride/RAAM Qualifier, too. The first time finishing the Paris-Brest-Paris Randonneur in the first group the highlight of the second part of the season.
Finishing the season with a respectable ride at 6-12-24 Hour World Time Trial Championships, 3rd overall, 1st 50+, but for the first time in more than 5 years that I didn't manage to pass the 500 miles in 24h. Gives me something to prove in 2020!
The main goal of the 2020 is the Red Bull Trans-Siberian Extreme, where I want to prove again that experience counts more than the age at ultra-cycling races. Anyone interested in sponsoring one of the candidates for the overall victory, please contact me.
