What changes will we make this year? First is that we are going back to the sleep schedule from 2013, which was by far the best so far. Last year's experiment with multiple shorter rests daily didn't prove to be very good for myself. The veteran part of the crew is lead by Irma as the crew chief after some years. With her the two of my crew veterans returning are Denis Rautovic as my trusted mechanic and Simon Krek as a nurse. New members of my crew are Helena Zavaloka, Gregor Omejec, Aleš Prijatelj, Roger Foote (New Zealand) and Martin Dressman (USA), the later two both have the experience of crewwing for other RAAM racers. I trust my crew with all my heart and I know they will do their ultimate best to help me achieve my goal. 

With us at least in their thoughts, but also on internet and phone will be both of my former crew chiefs, Andrej Petrovic and Kerry Ryan. In fact that means two more crew members who will help us with the decisions during the race, expecially at the last part of it as everybody will be tired and some guidance from cool heads will be very appreciated.

I've been in California for more than a week and I acclimatized well to the heat expected for the race. Tomorrow I move from Borrego Springs to Oceanside to meat the crew. ¸That will live us with a couple of days to prepare the follow cars, go through inspections before the start, attend the meetings and all...
